Pirots X is our cluster-pays entry in the Pirots series, released in October 2024. Unlike every other game we've built under the Pirots name, Pirots X drops the CollectR™ walking-bird mechanic entirely — wins come from clusters of 5 or more adjacent matching symbols, while the four birds sit perched above the grid and randomly trigger bombs, chests and big-symbol drops instead of collecting anything themselves. RTP is a fixed 94.0%, and the max win is our series-standard 10,000x the bet. Checked and refreshed August 2026.

How Pirots X Plays
The one game in the series that isn't CollectR — here's what actually happens on the reels.
Pirots X pays out differently from every other game we've built under the Pirots name. There's no walking bird collecting gems here — wins come from clusters of 5 or more identical symbols connected horizontally or vertically on the 5×5 grid. Big symbols (the kind that span more than one grid position) count toward a cluster by the number of positions they physically cover, not as a single symbol, so one oversized High or Low symbol landing in the right spot can help complete a cluster on its own.
Wilds substitute for any regular symbol, and a Multiplier Wild goes further — it carries its own multiplier value and applies it to any winning cluster it connects to, on top of the global multiplier running above the grid. Land several wilds inside one winning cluster and Wild Merge folds them into a single, higher-value multiplier wild; if a wild connects to more than one winning cluster at once, Wild Split hands a full duplicate wild to each cluster it touched.
The four Pirots — Charlie in red, plus the blue, green and purple crew — perch in a row above the grid instead of walking across it. From up there they can randomly trigger a bomb, drop a feature chest, or send down an oversized symbol onto the board without ever setting foot on it themselves. There's one exception worth knowing: if a Nest symbol lands on the grid, a random Pirot flies down and settles into it. From that one fixed spot, the bird can then pick up adjacent symbols matching its own color, and every symbol it collects raises the global multiplier shown above the grid — the number applied, alongside any connecting Multiplier Wilds, to every winning cluster for the rest of the round. It's a distant, much smaller-scale echo of the old CollectR loop, but the bird never leaves its nest to walk the board — it collects from one settled position, not a moving path.
Red — Charlie
Perched above the grid; can trigger a bomb on his own, or fly down to a red nest to feed the global multiplier.
Purple
Sits perched with the rest of the crew; randomly triggers chests and big-symbol drops, or settles into a purple nest.
Green
Same random-trigger role as the rest — bombs, chests or a flight down to a green nest when one lands.
Blue
Rounds out the crew above the grid; collects from a blue nest the same way its crewmates do.

Pirots X Multiplier Wilds
Pirots X doesn't run a numbered coin ladder the way some of our other games do — payout scaling here comes from the Multiplier Wild and global multiplier system instead, so that's what we're documenting.

Two more rules stack on top of that. Wild Merge folds several wilds inside one winning cluster into a single, higher-value multiplier wild. Wild Split hands a wild that connects to more than one winning cluster a full duplicate for each cluster it touched. The global multiplier banner above the grid starts at ×1 and climbs by 1 every time a perched bird collects a symbol from its nest — applied to every win for the rest of that round, and it carries over between free drops once you're in the bonus game. ELK's own paytable screens show it running at least to ×35; we haven't seen a stated hard cap beyond that figure, so treat it as an example rather than a published maximum.
Pirots X Bonus Game & X-iter
Land three Bonus symbols in one round and you're straight into the Bonus Game — 5 free drops to start, with the global multiplier carrying over between every one of them instead of resetting to ×1. The Free Drop symbol adds one extra drop each time it appears, so a lucky retrigger streak can stretch a round well past its starting five. Land one Super Bonus symbol alongside two regular Bonus symbols in the same round, and you jump straight to the Super Bonus instead — it locks the grid at its full size and guarantees every one of those free drops opens with a feature chest already revealed.

Pirots X Max Win: Reaching 10,000×
The cap is the same 10,000x the bet as the rest of the series — up to €1,000,000 on the maximum €100 stake — but the road there looks different. There's no Max Win Coin here to pay the remainder in one go the way there is in Pirots 2; in Pirots X you get to 10,000x the harder way, by stacking multiplier value until a single cluster's payout clears it. The realistic route is the Super Bonus: the grid locks at its full size, every free drop opens on a guaranteed feature chest, and the global multiplier carries over and keeps climbing every time a perched bird collects a symbol from its nest. Land a Multiplier Wild or two connected to a large cluster on top of an already-inflated global multiplier, and a single drop can close a huge distance toward the cap. Cold base-game play won't get you anywhere near it — this is a bonus-mode ceiling, not something the reels stumble into on their own.
